WHO WE ARe
Founded in 1955, Bacchus is the oldest philanthropic organization for young professionals in Kansas City. We’re an all-volunteer group that supports local charities through hands-on volunteer work, fundraising, and mission awareness.
It’s all about building meaningful connections while making a meaningful difference.
Our commitment to connecting young professionals and strengthening local nonprofits creates an impact that ripples through our Kansas City community.
As the oldest philanthropic organization for young professionals in Kansas City, we’re proud of our heritage and it continues to inspire us as we look toward the future.
We are dedicated to embracing an inclusive and diverse culture, welcoming all young professionals to Bacchus, and supporting a variety of organizations.
Our 2021-2022 Beneficiary
The Love Fund for Children is committed to fulfilling the unmet needs of children, newborn to 18 years old, in the Kansas City community. Since 1981, more than 100,000 children have received assistance from the Love Fund. Their vision is to build a stronger Kansas City community where every child lives a life without need. They provide items such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, therapeutic items, beds, blankets, pillows, and specialty medical equipment.
Bacchus’s previous beneficiaries include Phoenix Family, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CommunityLinc, Dream Factory and Team Smile. Grant applications for our next beneficiary will open in spring 2022.
We’re proud of our long-standing legacy and presence in the Kansas City community. Our rich history goes back to 1955 but our mission has remained the same: to unite and amplify our impact in Kansas City. We carry our predecessors’ vision of a better KC community with us as we continue to make a meaningful difference that will impact our community for years to come.
Our organization is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors that helps to move the Bacchus mission forward. We’re committed to connecting young professionals in Kansas City and spreading the word about the important work that our beneficiaries do in our community. We give our all to make Kansas City a better place to live for everyone and we welcome anyone to join our volunteer and fundraising efforts. Together, we can make an impact that will be felt for years to come.
